ALot of Probe guys have seen good results from the FS-ZE intake cam and Nitrous but no dyno plots have been made against stock with both in a Protege. The Intake cam has about 8 degrees more duration but no more lift and the Mazdaspeed Exhaust cam has slightly more lift and around 8 degrees more duration also. Overlap is goign to be there so I'm not sure if its going to be the best for Nitrous.

Both the SP20 and MS cams are still both so tame that the cars idle smoothly. Since that's the case believe me you don't EVEN need to worry about too much overlap hurting the turbo and NOS performance. Actually, I'd think they would help turbo power since they are still low overlap and matching lift. I just can't see these cams adversely affecting power with a power adder since they still retain stock idle quality (at least in my car).

can someone define Overlap? Ive heard it so many times.
also, duration and lift? I have a few more questions, but i want to know what im saying before i sound even more retarded.
thanks for the education guys

duh, i clicked the link and found out the definitions
so im guessing i should get the exhaust cam 1st? due to my unfortunate non baller status and seeing as how backpressure is bad for the nitrous
should i even bother with the intake cam?
Im looking for all around good performance in the mid range, are these cams going to help me?

Get both. Since youre not going to be on the bottle ALL THE TIME, the vast majority of tuners recommend buying good NA cams. This way, you have more power all the time...and might sacrifice a tiny bit of power when youre on the juice. But as Traveler and myself said, these cams are MILD!! so youre not goign to lose power ever. WIN WIN situation here.

anything wilder than these cams wouldnt really be recommend though, correct?

If you go too much wilder you might run into compatibility issues with the stock ECU. If we could get somebody to reflash them with better advance and fuel settings, then I'd say go for it. Right now the only options are stand alones or a piggy back computer that allows for a wide range of adjustability.
