I need some Help

I was wandering if I could get a full N/A tune and the after about maybe 200whp I would put a turbo or a supercharger on. Whould that be possible because i want to get maximin Horse power from my Protege 5, the only mods so far are a Injen CAI.

I don't have that much of a buget that is why i want to start with the N/A because I don't have to buy every thing a once. And when I was doing the engine work I was gonna reinforce the engine so I would be able higher boost levels if I go turbo (most likely I will after I get some cash) and so I can put Nos in it. After I do this I am probbly going to drive it at night and weekends when I'm cruizin around town while I'm going to work I'll probbly gonna buy some peice of **** Escort or Civic. I don't really know what you are saying 90&00 Protege Basicly all i get from what your saying is that it is posible and this dude rebiult a B6 motor please explain

As long as my car can beat this

I will be happy

When I say reinforce I mean makeing the engine stronger to handle the higher boost and NOS. I plan on dueing alot of what you listed if I can afford it and if I can actully Install this stuff.

So basically you can either

a) Get all that stuff that you listed and get to almost ~190 hp I'd estimate....

or

b) Get a turbo kit that will cost??? (somebody help me with the price)..... 4,000$. Then you could get a boost controller and pick how much pressure you want to run it under. More psi's, less reliable it will be, not to say that it would break down, but if you push it too much, your internal components might not hold up from what I understand. With a turbo, 200 hp shouldn't be a problem...

capish?

question: the specs sheet on their p5 says about 230hp.... now how did they achieve this? it had to have been with the stock engine.... and how much would it cost to recreate this power..... and i know they are using no turbos or superchargers or nos on that engine.

oops 215hp.... but still, thats alot of power for this little car, you could probably spank some maximas and some of course most cars out their with that kinda power in this size of car.

few more tid-bits

The other thing you have to worry about is if its streetable. I bet that you wouldnt want to take tha P5 on the street. The Cams they are running are probably greater then 272 (im betting). On the street thats hard as **** to keep going. Compression ratio about 14:1 (havent looked at the chart), with that compression ratio you have to put racing gas in your engine. The 93 Octane isnt clean enough and wont produce a decent enough burn to get those kind of results. Now you look into Flywheel, his flywheel is probably around 7lbs (again guessing), on the street you would burn out your clutch in probably 2 weeks. There is so much stuff you have to look into when modding a car just like a race car, especially if you want to run it on the street. Most people like Turbo's especially for street cars. If 3k is your budget thats a good start, either way you look at it its what you want, not anybody else on this board. Oh well. my 2 cents.
