including SS?

i know SS make it easier on the arm and makes quicker shifts.

just out of curiosity, would i haveto cut a space for the shifter under my center council?

While we're on the topic,

Is there any way of converting an auto P5 to a manual? The research I've done so far indicated towards NO ... something about the transmissions bolting up to the engine different? Either way, I don't know jack about transmissions so I was never sure on whether it was a for sure no or if it would be as simple as replacing transmissions.

Just curious since I see we're on the topic anyway ...

it will bolt up, BUT thats the least of it, lol its a hugh task to swap to a manual, HUGE!!! you need to swap the pedals, put in a clutch pedal, change the tranny, change the shifter, get a new center consol thats made for the stick shift, you will need the shift linkage, new ecu, and so on and so forth, then you need to make it all work, lol its not worth it at all.

Thanks for the clarification ... I knew it wouldn't be too cost effective like mac said but I didn't know the exact reasons why. Now I do!

Sooooo, anyone wanna trade Proteges with me? I got a 03 yellow auto P5 with only 12K miles and I'll trade it in for the most similar manual. No I'm just kidding, my car is too spankin new to get rid of just cuz of a transmission, sure auto sucks but it can be nice too when you wanna lazy drive
