New, real, intake installed and muffler

so i finally have a real intake on the 1.6 liter. its a ractive that fits on a neon. i had to do some modifying tho. i cut some off the end that goes to the throttle body so it wouldnt hit the battery. then cut the whole intake in half (not really perfectly in half) and shortened one end. then i had some extra boot sleeves (i wont tell ya how i got those) so i could put the MAF sensor inbetween the 2 pieces. then i just put the filter on.

also, i got a noname muffler after all. it sounds fine to me. i just got the muffler fit on instead of a whole catback. i have nothing pushing the engine to really want to have a whole system yet, itll keep my back pressure. i guess ill go for nos after some more lil mods in looks. can my stock engine take a 60 shot?

I friend of mine has a 1.8L civic with just an aftermarket intake, and he pushes a 50 shot of nitrous with no problems. Hes had it for almost a year, and there hasnt been any problems at all.

correct, everything i have listed is what i run. the intake is getting rewedled next summer though and the nozzle is being moved farther away from the throttle body. i'm running stock right now, because it's supposed to start snowing soon. i pulled everything out except the exhaust. ;D but anyway, if these obx headers are on the way, that's gonna be sitting on there by summer along with some other ****. also, what is the size of the intake pipe for the Neon? if it's bigger than 2.5" ID, you may be losing power. Jesse has discussed this many times, and may bitch slap you for using a bigger pipe on a Mazda engine.

stop by a harley davidson shop or a aluminum welding shop and they could probably make you whatever you wanted.
