New toy (OBDII)

Well I just got a new toy in a few days ago its a OBDII reader and I used some software on it to measure out hp and 1/4 mile times.

Before anyone goes off on it being terrebly inacturate, I already know, but I just need it to be reletivly acurete and have nice curves which it does.
So I pulled down a 19 sec 1/4 mile time @71 mph and a 12 sec 0-60. I also noticed that the torque curve was nearly prefectly flat less then a 5 ft*lbs diffrence almost straight through.

Now for the sad part dont laugh too hard. 70 ft lbs torque @4k and 77 hp@ 6k. Mind you this is a 2nd gear pull just because I ran out of road. When I did a first gear pull it was nearer to 66hp. I assume the actuall power is near 85 or so if this treand continues. Being that Im in auto its pretty impossible to do a 3rd gear pull. Also how much do our cars weigh? I put some 2450lbs into the info thing, hope we actually weigh more.

Now for the plan. I have been playing around with the O2 reader and it seems that the car would have alot more power if the a/f was leaned out. Its currently at some .85 volts, which should equate to 13:1 a/f. Off woot it seems to lean quite a bit.

Im gonna try a half trottle pull later today IDk with maybe a brick under the pedal or something Im hopping for some 10 more hp.

Im hoping to be able to build up an O2 signal interceptor eventually. To lean out the woot and make this thing less embarassing. Im thinking a simple op amp would do the trick, amplifing the signal to .95 instead causing the car to lean everything out significantly, just need a way of telling when the car goes into open loop mode to turn it on. Any ideas?

This thing is actually pretty sweet it tells me all kinds of things like oil temp and all that jazz just need a way to cheaking the laptop while driving.

i'd like to see it in action but those numbers seem way off. I dynoed almost 100whp 110lb-ft bone stock.

I coincidentally threw a CEL on my way to school today. Right before I install my header, too. Want to come down and check it for me?

Its a auto 1.6 you dynoed a stick 2.0, If anything its too high you should have 30 more hp! Remember 2nd gear too, my msp axel back and modified intake must be working wonders I hope.

Similar all the eml based scanners are pretty much the same.
Actually mine is from digimoto.com
Our cars use the ISO interface, thats important. After that you can use whatever software you want.

Joel(the owner) frequents another one of the forums I go to so I decided why not. Its a really good product.
