O2 Sensor

Has anyone ever disconnected the O2 sensors on their cars? I've done it before on 89 Volkswagon Jetta. I drove it for 75,000kms disconnected. Is there any harm on doing it to our engines....2001-2002? I just disconnected mine and i find at 5000rpms i feel the car start to pick up a bit more....My fuel consumption is the same.......no pinging or anything.

OHHHH NOOO you didn't say that.....its just as easy to detonate with NA as it is with FI sometimes easier. Try putting 87 octane in with 10.7:1 pistons and see what you get.

my O2 sensor was dead after the accedent and the dealer didn't know how to fix it.. (YOU IDIOTS YOU REPLACE IT!) anyways.. your car will idle and run like crap.. but it will work.. shouldn't really harm anything either but its anoying since it idles around 1500RPM..

Mine doens't ping...or i don't think it does.........the idle is actually better, mine idles now at 800rpm......i'm running synthetic oil and also run 94octane.............checked my plugs and they are good....not running lean or rich

My car idles at 400rpm when warm. It started doing it when I put my mazdaspeed cams. Normal or not? Nothing showing that somethings wrong.
