oil pressure
I just recieved my new autometer oil pressure and voltmeter gauges and I have a few question that need answered.
-Do I have to wait till the next time I have to do my oil change to install the oil pressure sender or can I unscrew it now(with oil in the engine) ?
-The oil sender thread is 1/8 and I understand that I have to get the adapter that converts to metric. But what is the exact size of thread that I need to get so it will fit my p5?
-Where exactly is the ignition switch/wire that I need to tap for the voltmeter and oil pressure gauge?
-What/where would be a good source to tap the lighting of the the gauges into? (I was thinking about tapping into the parking lights.)
Appreciate any info.

allrighty, i just put in my oil pressure gauge. first you dont need to change, or drain the oil. i assume you allready know where the oil censor is. or you wouldnt be asking. so with that said. you can do this two ways. the auto meter gauge comes with a oil fitting, to screw in to your oil censor. but if you noticed the censor has a singal wire coming from it. thats for the dummy light on the dash. if you just replace it, with the supplied fitting from auto meter, your oil light will always be on. so what you gotta do is go to like napa and pick up a t- fitting, with two male ends, and one female end, that way you can screw the oil censor into it also. thus eliminating the oil light. i hope your still following me lol. now as far as the power source, you can tap into your fuse box, like i did and run it of my cig lighter, so when the car comes on my light in the gauge comes on. or you can run it to your lights if you only want it on when the lights come on. your choice. hope that helps.
