POP-style intake brackets (2.0L)
For anyone who has gotten a POP-style intake (basically just a cone filter on the MAF), what have you done in the way of a bracket to hold it up? Surely you didn't just let it hang there - might be dangerous. At first i set it on top of the lower airbox and then today I found some long zip-ties and tied it to the lifting support thing just to the left of it (took out the lower air box; the engine looks so much cleaner and uncluttered with all that stock intake crap in there). Right now it is kind of close to the fan, but the fan has a shroud over it so it shouldn't hurt anything (possibly even blow air into it ). On a Maxima I had I did the same POP-style intake, but I found a nice piece of metal and made a real brakets for it, so I know it can be done. It looks like crap right now...
I'll take some pictures of it this weekend.

Actually I just let mine hang on there with no bracket. I didnt want to have a bracket holding it down and not letting it move as freely when the engine was revving. Just tightened it down with a nice hose clamp. Never had any problems with it.

Charger, the pis of your engine bay is kind of different that mine. On the P5, the air filter would hang down a foot or soo and hit a metal piece, causeing a rattle and possibly damaging either the filer and/or the metal piece.

Got bored today and decided to mess around with the intake. And whadya know? Out sprung an awesome bracket that looks and functions almost OEM! Took about an hour and a half of bending, cutting, twisting a long piece of metal to be a perfect fit. The result even surprised me! It sets the filter right in the middle of that area of the engine bay at the perfect height just below the battery -- this deserves a stoggie!!! It also looks so much better from all angles with no zip-ties or sagging in sight I took 3 or 4 pictures (with 1 or 2 before pics), but will have to wait a couple days to have them developed. This was most definitely worth the effort! Total cost: $0 (not including the tools and the filter).
