Pro5 Sport Exhaust

Has anyone purchase one of these? mazdastuff.com has it for $195.00. http://www.mazdastuff.com/product.cfm?ProductID=1047

How is it? Does it improve anything besides sound?

I did do a search for "Pro5 Sport Exhaust". That is the name of the product, nothing comes up except a thread about an accident. I do a search for "exhaust", and that brings up alot of threads. Anyone know what the topic was?

I don't know if the Skunk2 system is loud or not...but I was looking at Parts sites last night and when I saw the price...or at least what one place was asking for the full Cat-back Skunk2 system it made me wallet pucker, run and hide!!! it was $900!!!! I just can't see ANY system being worth that much....maybe it was a misprint...or maybe the guys at that parts house were smokin something when they put together their site...but that in itself would make me think seriously about another brand.

Re: Pro5 Sport Exhaust

This is just a shorter version of the MP3's Racing Beat designed muffler to fit the Protege 5. It will add a deeper exhaust note, but will not add any power by itself. It is not a complete cat-back exhaust, it is only the muffler section.

Unhappy about sport exhaust

I ordered one of the sport exhaust from my dealership about 2 months ago. It came in about 2 weeks later, it looked like crap so i didn't buy it. Last week my friend bought it, it's not that loud. It actually gets quieter when accelerating. I'm waiting for a full cat back from racing beat. THE SPORT EXHAUST IS MADE BY MAZDASPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know when the Racing Beat cat-back system is coming out? I called an authorized Racing Beat dealer in my city and they told me sometime in the next week or two. Is that accurate? It'll be interesting to see what kind of HP gains will be available from that cat-back alone.
