So the stock injectors will not be able to hold 10.4:1 comp setup??? I am not going all raced out. Just raising the comp to what the J-Spec motors has.

Alright, so The pistons and cams will give me some extra power But I'll need to change the fuel and spark delivery and power??? (new plugs,new wire, new ignition coil? Help me here lol) The labor part should be too much of a problem for me. I will be going to UTI in a year or two but a few of my friends there right now and they can do it for extra credit/project. Also, How much power can i expect if i get the injen cai, wagner headers /w highflow cat, magnaflow exhuast system.

Of course they do..running a tad rich will never make more power....it's just safer than running too lean....just buying the higher comp pistons and "slapping them in" like you say though is a waste of money and time,it will yeild a gain but not nearly as much as with control over the fuel and ignition timing..and I'm not probably right about the injectors, I am right...guys on here are running on stock injectors with turbo and just an adjustable FPR to deliver extra fuel. Trust me higher comp pistons arent going to come close to the fuel demands of 6+lbs of boost

The fuel is a major issue. Just look at the AFRs on my dyno graph. Sheeesh.

yeah my MSP was GARBAGE....I had my own custom cat-less exhaust with an air filter on the MAF and at stock boost I was hitting sub 10's in the AFR's at full boost...The dyno operator looked at me and said "Something is wrong with your car"....I said, "Nope mazda ecu's are junk."

Every pull we made was lower than 10:1 on the AFR...it sank like a rock as soon as boost came on. I bet my p5 is about the same. I wish I had gotten WB readings when I dynoed.

I will though with the haltech.

Most of the peope running boost have FMU's. Plus raising the comp to 10.4:1 would be the same comp as the Protege/323 in Europe. The injecotors on these cars are 210cc. Which is the same as US models. Yes I know that there fuel map is setup a little different than US models.
