Quick intake ?

Ok, I'm new to the protege, but not new to performance on mazdas, lol. I have heard that CAI on the 2.0L proteges don't actually gain as much as a short Ram air setup...what are your opinions on this. Anybody have dyno sheets, etc???

your not gonna get a great amount of power out of any intake. you may gain a little bit of hp and better throttle response with either a short ram or cai. you'll probably find that there is about an even split between people who like the injen cai and aem short ram. the other intakes, like ractive and monster flow arent as popular. i went with the aem bc its cheaper than the injen, easier to clean, and installation didnt require moving anything. but like i said, any intake you get will give you about the same gains. take your pick.

I know the proteges are hard to tweak power out of, and my main goal of the intake was little more torquey pep in 1st and 2nd, but mostly I wanted the added gas mileage, lol...anything helps...

i'd say either one will serve your purpose. really isn't much difference between the 2.
