Ractive without any homemade bracket ?
Has anyone here have a Ractive Intake that didn't need a new homemade bracket to hold it !??? I'm suppose to put one under my hood tonight and I just want to know if I might be lucky enought to do not need one !
Thanks

I installed my Ractive intake with the bracket that comes in the kit and of course had to adjust it as it was hitting the master brake cylinder. Anyway, I readjusted it and have been running it like that for weeks now with no more hitting. I just installed my own home made bracket tonight and it is much better. So bottom line is that yes yo can run without a home made one but it helps to have one.

Did you replace the original bracket or used your home made bracket in conjunction with the original ?
Also, when you say that you reajusted your bracket, you mean pulling the intake away from the brake cylinder by bending more or less the bracket !?
Thanks

Is this the only think you got to be carefull with this intake ? Just the master brake cylinder ? I mean, If you pull it away to much, can you be having another problem at the other end of the intake ?

At the meet I was at a couple weeks ago, we all had the ractive, and in each car, the pipes were set up SLIGHTLY different..
Just make sure that before you tighten all the clamps you dry fit the intake and make sure that it's not rubbing against anything else.
Check my sig to see pics of the intake bracket we fabricated. The kit bracket is on the other side, so I have sort of a 'triangle' support now.
