sport AT transmission

The 2003 protege I bought has the Sport AT transmission, which gives you manual shifting when you want it. So far, I'm not all that impressed with it, but maybe it will just take some getting used to.
Any one else have this? Do you use it?

it's still an automatic... in fact it's the same tranny as the normal automatics

I like it. I don't always use it, but it comes in handy when pulling a quick U-ie or you want more RPMs for better throttle response, like on an on-ramp. But yea, it's the same tranny as the regular AT, you just have more control over it.

My favorite time to use it is on the highway when I'm doing 70 or so and need to pass, I just slide it into manual, downshift to 3rd and get let the revs take me away.

It would be nicer with a wider range of gears, maybe a 5 or 6 speed.
