Not so far. *knocks wood* Despite the apparent ignorance of the of the service guy, this dealer has been treated me surprisingly well. I really thought they were gonna try to pull some kind of crap about my mods.

I got my baby back and it appears to be running well so far. God, I missed her.

New intake mani, fuel rail, injectors, gaskets and plugs.
And my EGR was cracked so that was replaced, too.

This weekend, the Kartboy gets installed, finally!!!

BTW, why aren't my little doughboys dancing around??
Edit: ok, NOW they are dancing!

N/C for everything 'cept I was due for an oil change so I let the dealer do it this one time...

I have 3500 miles left on my warranty so I'm gonna beat the crap out of the engine. If it happens again I want it to happen soon!!

Yes, I do need boost. If had the money I'd be on the WOMP list.

Really? I know there's a how-to thread over at msprotege on removing the VTCS but I haven't read it yet.
How can you not throw a CEL with a stock ECU? Is there a fix for that?

I assume you've done this...notice any loss of power on the low end?

actually low end is better because you won't have that strange dip in power that the car usually has, it just pulls hard all the way to redline, of course i did a header at the same time but still,

removing it is pretty simple when you take the mani off and you'll see the flaps i just removed the screws that hold them on and left the bar they sit on in place you'll know what i mean once you see them,

basically if i understand this correctly vcts is there for emissions, and they have to do with the precat, since i put the header on i don't have a precat anymore and to get rid of the cel for that i used the spark plug non fouler fix i may be wrong, that just occured to me,
that fix for having no precat may eliminate the fact that vtcs is gone? then again maybe not? i don't know, i know i had a check engine light because of the header and once i put the non fouler fix in place i haven't had a cel since
