W.O.M.P. Supercharger for 2.0L proteges

yeah, I'll look into it. I haven't thought about it much. I've been so busy tying up all the details on it.. I'll go speak with my bank and a local credit union and see what they can do along those lines.

nothing is final yet....I just said I would look into it. I've gotta see what it entails first.
Of course you guys could always go to your own bank and get a loan...

bump guys, added some new pics to the first post....give you a better idea of what you're looking for.

STILL waiting for my haltech... I have a dyno appointment on 9-11 just one week prior to NOPI... If all goes well I will be able to show it off at NOPI with the dyno sheets.
Everything hinges on how soon the Haltech arrives at my door.

Ah that sucks, magic is what I do best! Nah just playin, but on a serious note this supercharger is great news. And your predictions for horsepower may be a bit conservative like you said, because if it runs at least 6psi of boost stock then that should be more then enough to get us to 170hp. If you factor in the header and full exhaust like most people will have and especially a catless system and the haltech! shoot that is an easy 13-20 whp by itself just to be conservative. And throw on 6psi of boost, these things may very well be monsters. Just to back you up I believe that it will hit at least 170whp and I do not blame you for being conservative. Man I woke up this morning with it on my mind just like you do when you find a new girlfriend. Woohoo! I am psyched. And just to let you know I am behind you on this 100%

yeah, I'd rather claim low numbrs and have it dyno high...then claim high numbers and have it dyno low.
I based all of my numbers on Vortech and Procharger's Honda civic kit. They use NO ems and at 7psi (on a smaller blower) they pull 170whp. This is also on a smaller 1.6L engine. The protege with larger 2.0L engine, larger powerdyne blower (based on cfm/psi), haltech EMS should do a good bit more than the 170whp posted by the honda civics.
I'm not making any promises though until I get the haltech in and on the dyno.

yeah, I'm about to go through and "purge" the thread....
I'm hoping to have pictures and videos myself even if no'one else shows up.
Remember this will be the very first testing and tuning phase so I can get it up and runnign to NOPI. Also, this is not going to happen unless Juan from Hiboost gets off his butt and sends me the stupid haltech.

purge finished. PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC. I'd like this to just be questions and answers about the kit.

Does anybody sell forged internals for our cars rite off hand? And how much do they usually run?

for future reference you can either use the "search" feature or post this question in it's own thread under "3rd Gen Engine Performance"....
to answer your question I plan on purchasing an entire forged shortblock from Wagner Motorsports. www.wagnermotorsports.net

wait until you see how a supercharger reacts to a ported and polished head and intake mani!!
I'm also going to look around for an inexpensive J-spec intake cam. That should help breathe a little.
There are several mods that when done will show small gains NA but huge gains when boosted. Cams, intake, exhaust....it all benefits from forced induction whether its superchargers or turbochargers.
