probably just a bunch of wheel spin. I know mine does it a lot and I have a slush-box tranny. I don't think the tires are particularly grippy but from what I've read, wheel spin is pretty common. Thats why there are threads on installing an LSD in the other sections.

Do you have the original Poortenza's?? If so, this could be most of your problem. Also, after I put on my Eibach's, the car corners like crazy!!! It is so much quicker through the corners, and the body roll is hardly noticeable anymore= less tire spinning

MP5's have stock 16" wheels, which are wrapped with Dunlop Sp Sport 5000's...

Are you talking about hesitation in which the car shutters when you press the throttle or wheelspin?

how tight of a corner are you trying to take, and at what speed does this occur?

it sounds like wheel hop to me

I know mine can corner pretty well, especially better than my wife's (which has the poortenzas) I do notice the wheel hop and spinning a bit, especially on bumpy surfaces. I still don't feel the car sliding (which is fairly impressive) I don't really know what the limits are for the car yet so we'll just have to see. However I'd think that you'd be quite happy with getting a LSD, that would hopefully get rid of your problem, (fixing it would only cost about 1grand or so.)

Are you downshifting as you turn? Sounds like he's lugging the engine.

now that i've re-read his original post, i think you are right, it sounds more like engine lurching at low rpm than wheel hop.

downshift before you make the turn!

It really sounds like a broken diff. That's bad, but wheel wrap and hope are easy to detect and the tires don't skid like he mentioned. Slide yes, but not skid.

Set the brake, put it in neutral, lift the front wheels and rotate a tire. Then put the tranny in a high gear and do it again. You'll know for sure if the diff is ok.

either not enough RPM on the motor or perhaps wheelspin
on the inter tire. i think it's not enough RPM as wheelspin
you can obviously tell that you're gas-ing it too much.

tires help quite a bit, but im hoping that the rear sway
bar will help a bit (large bit) more.

LSD would be the ideal solution for this kind of
wheelspin in the corners.

We don't even know for sure what this guy is refering to. Zim Zim you need to write a long post explaining what is going on more clearly. Skids when turning??? How fast are you going, what gear are you in. Does it do it when you are barely moving?
