Protege5 purchase
Just a helpfull hint, if you are financing the vehicle give up the $1000 rebate and take 0% for 60 months. The difference is 18" with tires, or whatever you like thats about $1500.
If you had 5% intrest rate financing about 17,000 you would gain a $1000 rebate but lose by incurring $2500 in intrest. the only good thing is you can say, "I paid 16,1xx for mine loaded!" thats all.
If you got a 9.9% loan at 60 months it would cost you $5000 in intrest and you only gain a $1000 in rebate.
If you are paying cash, god bless and take the rebate, and save those loans for turbo kits and mobile video equipment!

hmmm...i would've thought that the price would have been higher because you have to "buy down" the rate.

fully loaded to you may not be the same to me. and if you got it for $15,900 w/ 0% then w/o 0% i/anybody should be able to get it for lower w/o the 0%

If you are getting 5.3% through your credit union you should be able to get 0%. and it is 0.0% not 0.9% in case your dealer is trying to get a little extra $$$$. If you cant get it there try somewhere else or get a cosigner, that dealer might just be trying to fool you. Do you know what your credit score is? if it is 700+ you are done.

well my interpretation is that he got "fully"loaded '03 P5 for $15,900+ttl + 0% financing....
which seems to good to be true, becuase then w/o the 0%($1000 rebate) you should be able to get it for $14,900...??

RACER X: I picked my '03 P5 up a couple of weeks ago. It has sunroof/cd changer and the ABS/sideairbags options. The price: 15,600 (after $1,000 rebate and $500 college grad rebate).
Frankly, I think JA1639 is full of it.
