I am sorry you know everything and are always a sceptic I bow down to you.

Get your facts right instead of spitting out asumptions about hp and please tell my car this because it is going faster. :laugh2: :booty:

Ok Ok
No need to get Edison on me pal, hey I know for a fact that that little peace of chineese wind chime in your intake, and I aplaud your efforts in fittingit, will never give you any Hp gains, I mena think about it, it not like a fan that propells air, becuase a fan is driven the tornado is blockage of airflow, and hey you gotta keep your engine for get water logged. Just don't go around saying you can remove your AEM bypasss cause you shot a bottle of duralube in your engine. I may not no didly squat about tuning compared to you, but don't stay up so late watching those infomercials, stick you proven and studied gains, not some guy who can talk real fast and a buanch of people say, " yes its great" to get a free one cause I would too. I do agree it could increase gas milleage cause it might cool downthe air a little more but I aint Edison, or Franklin. You are

Originally posted by kc5zom Hey, who knows. Maybe that tornado will be a popular mod like a K&N in the future? I have never see anyone actually try and dyno one. Has anyone else? Still I'm doubtful it does any good. BTW jcilforever, I don't mean to be a harda$$ either but I am in 100% agreement with Jesse here. We are both racers, and when it comes to performance mods, we are from Missouri- SHOW ME. We like proof- dyno sheets, a lap time, or a drag strip timeslip (from an NHRA-sanctioned track, no GhettoTech Pro results please) that demonstrates an improvement. "Butt dynos" ("it feels faster") are notoriously inaccurate :D No offense :D |
No problem just don't be so quick to judge. I could have designed a better intake than mazda did out of pvc , it is a power robbing monster. Next time ask me some questions, get some information, then make a desicion. As for Sport Compact every car is different, one test does not prove anything, and placement is key, the manufacter might even be wrong about that. I am not expert but I did do flow designs on multimillion dollar pieces of equipment and have some clue. I am not joe blow putting a popsicle in the intake trying to make a CAI. If it were not for people going against proven methods than we would not have alot of the great inventions we have today. That is a fact!

 Ok you win, you allways do, please write back because you have to have the last word. Oh by the way give me a $100 so that I can go get my car put on the dyno, as it would be stupid to pay half of what the mods cost (for so little mods) and you will have your stats. Blah Blah Blah. Please write back so you have the last word.

I'll have to go with Jesse on this one also. First reason is time and time again he's proven he researches what he's talking about. ( no butt kissing intended, just a fact) Second sticking this thing, (yes I've seen "it on tv") in your intake will cost you airflow. Its a blockage, spining the air or not. I'd suggest removing it for a while and see if you aquire some torque back.

You can't argue with a man
Who thinks that inventores like FRanklin, Edison ectera are on the same level as AS SEEN ON TV Ok lets leave it at that. Why My MOmma Always siad, " it makes no sence argueing witha Fool" or a child.

Hey you two smart people Jess and Carguy
Why is it that AEM says that to their CAI, needs to be placed outside the engine compasrtment in order to get the full effect of cold air, and the all the other CAI just sit to the left of the block. Where is the most abundance of cold air inthe engine compartment. That won't end up getting splashed. I think by the gillet, you know snake it arounf the radiator if thats possible, then replace stock gillit, or grill to put in a mesh gillet

How this post changed from lifters to what it is now is bad. I know I was having a good time debating, but how about if we get back to the subject. To end this I have one statment about this subject: If you want proven results, go with proven methods and follow the crowd. If you want results above and beyond that of the rest you must sometimes explore areas that do not make "proven results sense" to provide you with extraordinary results. You should single out one by one what is a good application by personal troubleshooting and unordinary manipulation of the part. My whole point about Edison and others is that people thought that they were crazy trying to make extrodinary things from odrinary materials, I was not attempting to put myself on there level. Sometimes it is better to strike out on a new path that others have discounted, because it is there that you may find the next turbo, supercharger, etc. These technologies may make sense to you now but they did not to older generations when they were being first tested. You should actually applaud my efforts for doing things out of the ordinary because who knows it might be you that buys your next performance part from me after I invent a new system that increases your power by 30%, and you do not have to worry I will not use false advertisment to further my products. My current mods are only the begining to what I have instore.
Thank you and I apreciate the sport of debate.:) |
