2002 ES Mystery

Ok, so maybe I'm just crazy, but it seems like most ES Protege's on the road have 4 wheel disk brakes.

Now, I have an 02 ES, with 2 disks in front, 2 drums for rear. Did they make some ES models without 4 wheel disk, or did I get screwed out of my proper braking system?

Everything else on the car, including badging, shows true to be an ES.

Did the 4 wheel disks only come on later models (2003+) of the ES?

I'm just noticing this now....

I want to switch them for some sweet P5 highlights, haha.

Also, that turbo'ed ES is the sleeper-est car I've seen in a while!

I'll trade ya headlights if you want .. does yours use two bulbs or just one? Meaning, is the high beam a separate bulb or the same as the low beam?

Just the one h4 bulb for high/low. I think the stock wiring isn't setup for a sedan to hatch swap.

Also, how would we do this without taking both cars out of commision for a week?

I tried to get a set a P5 lights once, since I like the silver corners (no orange ftw). Quite expensive, over $200 for the set + having to rewire the harness

Anyone have any luck with ebay headlight lenses? I hear the beam pattern is crap.
