2003 Protege ES GT or 2002 Model - Should I Wait?

As many of you know from my previous posts... I'm selling my VW Jetta GLX to buy a brand spanking new Mazda Protege ES with the GT Package.

However, I"m now wondering whether I should wait for the 2003 model to be released... What are the specs on the 2003 model? Are there any design changes? More features? and when's the release date for the 2003 model?

Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I expect that Mazda will not change anything significant, other than introducing the 170 hp turbo Mazdaspeed model. The 2003 Pro is a "lame duck" destined to be replaced in 2004 by the all-new Focus-based Mazda 3. Car manufacturers rarely change much on a vehicle when it is about to be replaced. It may get different trim or colors, but that's about it

How will the fact that Ford owns Mazda affect the ability to get parts, pricing of those parts etc etc?
