AEM Short Stack Intake?
#17
Here are more pics of the AEM intake. Notice the red rectangle, that is a louver in the plastic under car. It directs air right to the filter. Nice placement AEM!!!!
See the red square....its around the louver.
This is the opening/louver from under the car.

INSTALL
THE INSTALL IS VEARY EASY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A SCREW DRIVER AND A SOCKET SET!!!!!! THE HARDEST PART IS PUTTING THE FILTER ON AND THAT IS EASY. WITH THE PICTURES FROM AZRAKAIN AND THE INSRUCTIONS FROM AEM THE INSTALL SHOULD ONLY TAKE 15 MINUTES. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THE LOUDER THINGY????

wtf is a louder thingy?.....At one point I did say that the engine had a deeper growl to it....that would make the engine "louder". I thought the harderst part of the install was removing one of the sensors from its bracket.....took me 20 mins to install. Piece of Cake!!!!

Well I think I changed my mind I think I'm going to go with the AEM intake instead of injen's!! It's almost a $100 cheaper up here in Canada and from what I've heard it does the same thing without having to buy a bypass valve or a splash guard.
Imapct if you want to get one maybe we can get a deal from one of or local speed shops here in Ottawa if we order 2.
Let me know. L8R Mike

I just replaced my Monsterflow intake with the 2.0L AEM short ram intake. The install is easy, and the filter can be attached to the tube and lowered into place from the top, contrary to the instructions. BTW, in the pictures above it looks like the washer was installed on the lower tube mount instead of the purge control soleniod near the throttle body.

Your right I installed the washed on the bottom support. I used the stock washer when I mounted the purge valve silinoid. The nut has a washer on it. I wanted a washer on the bottom support because the nut will almost go through that slit in on the bracket.....I put the filter on the tube before I lowered it down as well. Made it much easier. If anyone installs this intake beware....the purge valve silinoid is mounted on a bracket and the nut is tough to remove.....don't brake the nipples that the hoses slip over....
