HELLO,

I had the cold START rattle, and rattle when playing music at many times..

I removed the defroster covers (outside of car, under wipers)

On Passenger side, under the window there is a thin piece of metal on the most inner tip of the metal on the bottom, pull it a little bit, and let it go..

HEAR the rattle, buzz, annoying sound..

I used Brown-bread (dynamat or sound deadening material) on this piece and I have no more annoying 2500-2700RPM buzz sound inside of cabin..

When it's cold outside and the defroster is on, I get one or two good loud "cracks", but I have yet to hear a rattle...are the cracks just from the windsheild expanding from the heat? Anyone know?

 

I've got the rattle/buzzing too. Sounds like mine is around the dash above the radio, but I can't be sure. Mine only does it under acceleration. If I use hard acceleration it doesn't do it. I wondered if it could be a leaf or leaf stem has worked its way down in the fresh air vent system.

 

that buzzing rattle that sounds like it comes from above your radio is what I explained above more than likely.. completely fixed mine.. bout a 20 min. job..

Can you give a little bit more detail in what you did please? What piece of metal?

 

The only rattle I hear is the ashtray. I just put some paper under it to wedge it up

 

i get a rattle from the hvac controls area while going over rough roads. i tried pressing on the plastic trim and it stopped it temporarily but it came back when i released.
