Anyone trade in a black P5 in or around Montgomery, AL recently?
Just wondering. I bought mine from a small lot in Montgomery but it has a McGough Mazda tag. I thought it may have belonged to someone who has at least been to this site. It has been lowered (not sure what springs) and some other minor mods... looks like some eyelids were taken off (tape residue on the tops of the headlights). So far I'm lovin the car... just thought I'd see if anybody knew the history of the car.

The black one I saw had NO roof rack..had the inserts and I think it had the chrome stockers....clean ride!
Since I've been w/out my ride, I've seen many P5's coming out of the wood work. Guess that's because I'm a passenger now instead of a driver & have time to actually look around at cars driving by etc.
Still haven't seen any around in the local area that can compete in the JDM-P5's league (looks wise)...lol.

Jackelope - I can't remember the last time I bought a car in GA... well I can but I don't want to. The dealers in ATL jack up the prices so high that private sellers think they can get a premium too. It's ridiculous. It's funny that this one was in Montgomery because I've bought 3 new cars from Jack Ingram in Montgomery in the past.
JDM-P5 - Yes, this is the one at Colliseum. No roof rack, fillers, lowering springs and chrome stock wheels. The front flying M emblem was painted black (I followed suit by blacking out the badges on the back), and it looks like it had eyelids at one time... seems to be some residue on the top of the headlights. It is very clean. I'm very pleased with the deal I got.
Just thought I'd try to find the previous owner. When I pulled the gauge cluster the other night to put in my rings I found a small picture lost behind the steering wheel. I assume it is of the previous owner and his girlfriend (or the previous owner and her boyfriend.)

Word...was it a dark looking guy w/braces & a white girl? If so, then yes I know who he is. His Mom drives one also. He treated that car like a baby, so you did get a good deal, if it's the same guy!

The picture fits that description (though I can't really tell if he has braces or not, small pic). I can tell the car was treated very well. That's cool. If you ever see him ask him what kind of springs are on the car

When I had tires put on I don't remember the springs being green (or red which might indicate Eibach). If I recall correctly I think they are black... which doesn't help much.
Cool... Thanks,
Dave
