autocross?

so i was reading an article the other day about something called autocross. taking regular people with their regular cars and being able to race them in different types of events. does anyone know of something like this in southern ontario and how to get involved?

hmm, well here in the states we have SCCA (sports car club of America)...It's about $70 a year and you race once a month for points. It's VERY exciting although I don't do it myself I'm hoping to get into it or at least build a few cars for others to drive.

p.s. if you plan on auto-crossing you need to look in the Vendor section for my baffled oil pan GB I'm running. This will save your engine from oil starvation. It's a BIG protege problem.

I autox here in atlanta with a bunch of protege guys, its hella fun and majorly addicting, to become a scca member is 70$ and then each event cost 25$ to race if you are a scca member or 35$ if your aren't a member. I have raced my msp once the first time i raced, it was hard b/c i try to baby my car, still fun though, after that i started co-driving my friends P5, right now I am in the process of building a 240sx project car for my racer, but i have a lot to do because it is an auto and i am currently scowering parts to do a manual conversion (almost there!) once done i will become a scca member and race every event.

like roddimus said, watch your oil, too many left hand turns are a bad thing for our cars, we found that out the hard way, but in defense of the car it was the owners error, he was 2 qts low!
