When driving down a highway at 35 to 40 mph, what should your RPM read? I read several places that its better to have your RPMs low. Is 2k ok? What is a good rule of thumb to know when to shift? I am still trying to master driving a stick, so tips and tricks will help out alot. My gas milage has been really crappy, about 22mpg and 24mpg on the first (2) fill ups. I drive about 90% city and 10% highway.
