Body parts for 3rd gen

Hey guys I am new to this forum and I was wondering if there is access to MP3 body parts for my 2003 protege LX. I hate the front bumper and I want something along the lines of the MP3 or even the mazda speeds but without spending crazy amounts of money on it. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of great people on here and you will find a lot of good information.

Changing over your front bumper can be done, but it will be expensive. You basically have to buy the entire front bumper, cover/reinforcement/attachments etc. As I recall the fenders match up so you are okay there. You might luck out and find a wrecked MSP with the front end intact.

There are a couple of other alternatives. You can add the factory lip (extension below the bumper) or get an aftermarket cover. Wings West used to offer one for Proteges, you can also look at Corksport.

yup yup, mp3, msp, p5 front bumpers are all the same. Sometimes you can find them sitting on dealerships floors. I dfound one brand new at a dealership for $125 ready to paint. Just shop around different dealers. Also contact Ken at protegegarage.com . He works for mazda so he can set you up with one as well.

Welcome---and, no. A few folks have tried to get it going but so far, none that I know of.
