Bosal exhaust noise

I just recently bought a Bosal exhaust and have some mixed feelings about it. I like it exept the fact that at 3K RPMs it is very loud almost too loud. I know that there is a silencer but I dont really want to use it. Does anybody have any suggestions for sound proofing my trunk? I think a lot of the noise resonates inside my truck so maybe Dynamat will help? Please help. Also, how much does the silencer actually help.

Throw the silencer in there! It makes a BIG Difference, and it still sounds good. The only way to get rid of that hum is to put that damn thing on!
