bought a new protege on friday!

Hey, i went to the dealership friday to buy a 03 spec v and ended up going home with an 03 protege DX laser blue color (i think that's what they call it?) the dealer had installed the mazdaspeed exhaust, spoiler, side skirts the official mazdaspeed floormats (lol) and the 17" mazdaspeed racing harts are in the mail and it seems to have tighter suspension, or it might just be my imagination. all in all i'm happy and can't wait to start working on it, first i'll need an alarm, hopefully next week i can get that and when they install the wheels they're going to paint the black mirrors/door handles and side sills the color of the car, can't wait! so far i plan on getting a quickshifter/intake/springs/darker tint/black 'n' blue leather interior/alpine stereo and upgraded clutch kit, it'll take a while though!

Nice!

Welcome to the club. Can't wait to see pics of your pro. Sounds like a complete MP3 replica.

hi nai8o5 and
Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I'd really like to see what it looks like with the sideskirts and dx bumper without a rear skirt, if it looks good I think I'll do that.

i was also interested in what others are paying, I don't think I honestly got the best deal, but i don't really care, the car was 14500 and they added 1600 for the mazdaspeed stuff, which included the floormats, exhaust, spoiler, side skirts, and of course the body parts had to get painted and installed, so it ended up being nearly 18k, i said 17k, he said no, i said no, he left and came back and said 17400k is the lowest he could go, i said no, he said okay, i'll throw in the mazdaspeed wheels for the price, i said OK, and that was that, so 17,400 plus 1,500 for the warranty which is a 72month 72000mile bumper to bumper 24hr roadside assistance free everything..........i probably would've tried to talk the price down more, but i was already late to work!!
