Brake rotor question and aftermarket parts.
Hello all, I am new to this forum. I have been checking out the banner adds and searching through the archives to find where you guys order/buy your parts from. I am planning on doing my girlfriends brakes ('01 Protege LX 2.0) in the next week or so and I was hoping for some insight from you guys. I am probably looking to replace the front rotors with OEM type parts (no slotted, drilled, or big brake kits) and I would rather not buy them from the stealership. Can you get them at and Autozone or similar place like that. I am familiar with places like ecstuning.com, awetuning.com, goapr.com, and neuspeed.com for VAG cars, are there any similar places for Proteges? Sorry for the noob question. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated until I get up to speed on this Forum.
Thanks

You can probably find parts at Auto Zone or any other automotive chain retail store. You might try The Tire Rack, I plan to call them next spring when I upgrade my brakes, not sure what they carry though. Cork Sport or Protege Garage may have what you're looking for, you could try giving them a call as well. Like I said, I haven't done my brake search yet these are just options I plan to use. Finally, if you find nothing you like, Mazdastuff.com is an excellent quality Mazda dealer with 15-20% off the list price from most dealers, and I highly recommend them.
