Broken Driving Light.......

I just noticed that my left front driving light lens on my 2002 Protege5 is cracked. Since this is Sunday and my dealship is closed does ANYBODY have a clue how much one unit costs?

Also, would it be cheaper to replace both of them with an aftermaket brand?

Last question....... How hard is it to replace?

Thanks a bunch, Speedbump

i don't think there are any aftermarket headlights. you might wanna check ebay or www.car-part.com and see if there are any there.

you might wanna go to your dealer. Mazda warranties lightbulbs, may as well see if the healight casing can be warrantied.

they also warranty headlight if it has problems with inside of housing...but cracks on outside...no
dealer will ask for one headlight for $220~300 depends on location.
I had to replace mine and it was $230.
try car-part.com like never ender said...

OUCH!, I just checked with my dealer..... $154.00 for one lens!

I was wondering if a "regular" lens would work ? I see where SLVANIA makes a "replacement bulb" for the driving light on the 2002 Protege5, maybe they make the entire lens........it's got to be cheaper than factory prices!!

Thanks, Speedbump.

PS. Will the HELA "Angel Eyes" fit into the exsisting area?

Thanks, never Ender, the place you suggested was WAY cheaper than anywhere else....... as long as there shipping doesn't screw it up!

Later,Speedbump

Less than $100.00 , not including frieght.

Just ordered one from back east..... $90.00 including shipping sure beats $150.00 plus tax!!

Speedbump.

Omron: Could you give a few pointers on how to install one of the "Driving Lights"..... thanks.

My left front fog light got busted by a rock. Didn't cost me a dime to have the entire fog light replaced.

100% glass coverage/ 0 deductable on my insurance.

Went to the insurance Co and told them that a rock shattered my lense.

That week I had a new light.

....your forgot to mention that your insurance premiums just increased, how much you say?

That's between "YOU" and your insurance agent......

Speedbump.

PS. Just joking..... I got my driving light from a Kentucky wrecking yard in 1 week and installed it in about 30 minutes, and now I'm BACK on the ROAD!
