Building Racecar! -in progress...
Hello all of you out there:
I am new to all of this forum story and struggled a bit trying to create a thread, but got trough with it. But anyways, I need help from anyone out there that can devote their knowledge and guide me in this build that I would like to do. I will keep posting images of the progress and keep updating until finish.
So basically, I currently own a 2001 Mazda Protege LX, its a 2.0 and its Automatic, that's a downside, I know, I would prefer stick-shift, anyways, this was going to be junked by my friend's dad and i basically took it away from him, the car has something wrong with the engine, but I don't know what it is yet because I didn't give the person time to tell me, I took the car away as soon as my friend told me, I will try and update what it is in the following weekend. I thought I could do a little build and have some modding experience with it and learn more about cars (this is the first ever "project" that I tackle by myself) and at the end have a nice, "fast car" that I can go around trashing. So I decided to do this and stored the car away and started looking at it, well after 2 hours my conclusion of general knowledge about this car was none, I have never worked in Mazdas before, I don't have the basics on how they are worked on and that is one of the main reasons why I come to all of you guys. I have a budget for the car, my vision would be, striped down interior, stick-shift, turbo or supercharger "if they make them", now, I don't know if this can be done, I really need help from all of you. This would be like a group build, let me know what you guys think I should do with this car and any suggestions are appreciated, worst thing I could say is no.
Like I said, OPEN to ALL suggestions, so shoot...
I will check this thread every day and reply to any questions or suggestions you would all have.
Thank you all for hearing me out, hope there is someone out there that can help me out.
