Canadian vs US owner's manual
I need to buy an owner's manual for a 2000 Protege LX. I found some on ebay, but they're all in the US. I was wondering if there is a difference. Also, any other suggestions on where I can get one? I'd rather not go through the Mazda dealers, it's too expensive.
Thanks

No idea if there is a difference between a US manual and a Canadian one, I doubt it though.
Here ya go though:

there's also a difference between a shop manual and an owner's manual.
i'd say the major difference between the canadian and us manuals would be that the canuck one is in both french and english. the maintenance info in the canadian version is in metric (km) and imperial (miles), i'm not sure if the us version is the same. same thing with warranty info (both us and can info in the cdn version.)
have you checked with the dealer? you'd be surprised by how cheap (some) manuals actually are through them.

Thanks for the help. My dad just bought the car used, but it didn't come with a manual. The salesman kept telling him that he'll get him one at an auction, but he never did. I guess I'll get him a US version then, hopefully they have everything in km's as well.

Try e-bay. And yes - there is a difference, especially since even some parts were different ( like the shiny trunk thingy ), and even specs. See, CDN does not come with a roof rack, as an example.
