Nice contrast of ORANGE AND BLACK like halloween.
How about going retro and slapping on a pair of wide, black racing stripes? Kinda like this....

I would personally skip the vinyl roof, though.

Oh yeah, I know, I'm posting pics of a Camaro to an import list, but '69 Camaros will always be cool, no matter what.

That's too bad they're complaining about torque steer. I was hoping that nice new LSD on the MS would eliminate that.

Torque steer is a negative. It doesn't matter if you should be holding the wheel etcetc, it is a bad thing and should be seen as such. And why would a skateboard ride be a positive? Anyone sensible person would take a better riding car with one that rides like a skateboard given both are equally capable in the curves.

69 Camaros will always be cool. I am a fan of the sport compact scene and the domestic musclecar scene. I have my Protege5 and a 65 GMC short&wide 1/2 ton. I subscribe to both Car Craft and Sport Compact Car.

What is all done to the motor? Does anyone have a link to a site on it? I breezed through my buddies C&D this weekend but I didn't have time to read that article. Thanks!!!

Yeah the author was referring to the color decision itself and not the quality of the paint. It looks A-OK to me though. Yeah I don't want to grab alot of attention though, you know them envy haters! Happens mostly on a nice car.

Actually, those Potenzas, especially in that size are MUCH better than the SP9000 Dunlops, or so I've been told by someone who tests cars for a living. Those Potenzas are one of the tires that they put on the IS300, and those are the ones to get for handling. There is a big difference between all the tires that Lexus fits (perhaps 0.08g in skidpad grip), and a big reason that Mazda chose those tires in that size.

If these are the RE090 Potenzas, and I think they are, those tires blow. They have been dubbed the "scREamers" by WRX drivers because they break loose and squeal like crazy. My good friend has a WRX and test drove my P5 the 1st week I had it. One his first comments on my car was "man, i wish my car came with those tires". I'll take the Dunlops over the Potenzas personally.

I talked to Larry Webster at Car and Driver last week, he said the that the car was way too stiff, the power was ok and to watch out for the upcoming Neon.
I did a photo shoot for Import Racer a few weeks ago, when he saw my Pro 5, he was like awesome ride, was asking me all about iwhat I thought of it. He got to drive the Mazdaspeed3 and said the power is very linear not peaky like many turbos.

You youngsters??? How old are you? What is considered a "youngster"? I would love to know...

P.S. How do you like that goofy wide mouth icon I used? Pretty neato, groovy, hip, narly, awesome, kewl, far out, huh!?

Uuuumm, no. '67 and '68 Camaros had a flatter grill that was closer to the nose of the car, with turn signals next to the headlights like this...

Or, if the car had the "Rally Sport" (RS) option package, it would have opaque plastic covers over the headlights and square turn signals under the ends of the bumpers like this...

Only the '69 Camaro had the more V-shaped grill that was set back further from the front of the car, with round turn signals under the middle of the front bumper. Also, '69 RS Camaros had little clear plastic windows in the headlight covers, like this...

OK, enough Camaro content for one day. Back to the original story....

The Mazdaspeed comes with the Potenza RE040's. And yes the stock WRX tires aren't the greatest in the world, mainly because they're all season performance tires and not High Performance tires like the Dunlops or RE040's. The RE040 are supposed to be quite a bit better than the Dunlop SP9000's or at least that's what you'd gather by looking at the price difference. 215/40 17 for the RE040's are $211 and the SP9000 in the same size are $134, so who know's.

What? Look I'm not a big Chevy guy or into Camaros but this much I do know. Chevy and GM in general did a lot of funky things with car in the late 60'S. You could get two or three different grills on some car. The Camaro was one of them. Head light covers and no covers were on the same year car. The 67 and 68 are very close in look and I would have to look very close to tell them apart. The 69 had different sheet metal. This is a 69.
