CF Hood
#3
Yeah I've been contemplating that myself, but I think it would throw off the CF eyelids then. I really like how the hood flows into the eyelids and the grille, so that's the only thing keepin me from doing the paint job at this point. I'll have to do some playing around with Photoshop and see what I come up with. Sometimes seeing the final product helps in deciding whether you like it or not ...
Speaking of Karen ... where the hell is she? I don't think I've seen her post in almost a year now!!

Looks awesome dude, I like it. I'm just now starting to work on the MP5 that i just baught (pics soon to come). Anyway, if you could give me a heads up on where to find some good CF hoods, black 5 spoke rims and exhaust parts I would really appreciate it. But yeah man, the hood looks awesome.

Well good CF hoods can be bought directly from www.DGMotorsports.com and other retailers such as www.protegegarage.com and protege5online.com
You can buy wheels all over the internet but I would try www.wheelmax.com or www.tirerack.com because they stock tires as well. If you're getting new rims, get new tires as well -- and if you get both at once you normally save some money.
However, your best bet is to hang around www.msprotege.com and check out the For Sale section quite often as people are constantly selling their parts for a lot cheaper than anywhere else on the net. Hoods are being sold all the time, and the same thing applies for rims. If they dont have excessive curb rash or other type of damage picking up a set of used rims will save you at least a couple hundred bucks as opposed to buying them new.
Now for exhaust products all you need to do is send a message to Kargoboy or check out his SALE thread to view his latest products. Thunder exhausts and headers are much cheaper but same quality as most others offered at this time, so it's definately worth your time and money to buy from him instead of going to an online store.

Yea those look great, but I still prefer the Style II eyelids. They're a lot thinner so they're not as noticable from far away, which is exactly what I need because cops in my town tend to harass people for just about anything -- knowing my luck I would more than likely get pulled over for having those on. I got stopped the other day because my license plate frame covered up a small portion of the county name at the bottom of the plate, and even though you could still read what it said he still gave me a fix-it ticket... what a bastard.
A couple questions for you CitizenPro, did you ever sell your stock spoiler to that guy on MSProtege? I have one for sale too that I'd like to get rid of but I won't block your potential sale by any means. I'm just curious if your sale went through so I can put mine up on eBay.
Another thing, did your hood come with the holes for the spray nozzles or did you have to drill them? DGM doesn't pre-drill and I'm kinda nervous about doing it ... do you have any tips on how to do it right?

As far as the sale goes.....not sure, i just sent him a message about it to see if he still wants to go through with it.
With the hood....mine came pre-drilled. But if you look under your hood where the holes should be, you'll find small indentions or grooves that will show where they should go. Kinda like a template......If there not there i would just measure from each side of the hood to where u want the holes in the middle....and drill a small hole on each side to start with. And just slowly cut open large enough to pop the nozzles in.....hope this helps.

$250 + shipping .. used of course.
Like I always say, keep an eye on the for sale section of MSProtege and you'll score some good deals. People sell their cars and they just wanna get something out of their previous mods so they let them go for cheap. If you're fast enough you might be the lucky winner
