Changed my oil for the first time.

Changed my oil for the first time.
I have changed the oil myself for my P5 the first time since I bought it.
Damn, the oil filter is really hard to reach and hard to get it off.
I have to craw all the way so that my whole upper body is under the car (yep, I am short, only 5'7").
(while I can just reach to the oil filter of my 94 Corolla just standing in front of the car and bend down).
It was fun though.
But I want to ask, does our P5 burn oil?
Cause when pour back the drained oil from the drain pan into those empty motor oil bottle, it only filled up a tiny bit more than 3 bottle. I am sure there wasn't 3.7 quat. there as the manual has stated.
Just want to make sure, is 3.7 quat the right amount I should put in? And 10W30 is the right oil to use, right?
