I just bought an '03 Protege.
The original window sticker was in the dash.
It said it was a '03 Mazda Protege LX A.
Attached to this was were a $4200 upgrade called "MP3 sport package"
After doing some research on the internet, it seems the MP3 package was dropped in '03 in favor of the "mazdaspeed" package.
What I have doesn't seem to have all the upgrades the MP3 packages was supposed to include.
What's on the car:
Front air dam w/ fog lights (w/ neon colors around these)
Side skirts w/ cooling vent for brakes
Rear skirt
upgraded exhaust
double wing (painted to match car) Laser Blue Mica
not sure about any engine upgrades.
any help?

 

Almost forgot.
15" alloy rims. back brakes are drum too...

 

they added the MS body kit and exhaust and charged the sap for a MP3...the MP3 has a better ecu, bigger 5 lug brakes (4wheel disk) and a full custom audio system with Kenwood head unit, door speakers and amp/sub package.

 

Ahh... oh well. he had close to $21000 in it ($16,500 + $4200 for "MP3 Sport Package") .. I just bought it for $10,500... good deal? It's in excellent condition, only thing i can find wrong w/ it is one burn in the back seat where someone was smoking.

 

Holy Crap! 20,700???? Wasn't the Mazdaspeed stickered at like 21k?

10,500 sounds like a good price, though.

 

That's what I was thinking, but i have the window sticker, $16,437 i think is exactly what is was. Now all I have to do is make it faster! too bad I don't have the funds, using all extra money to pay on my house payment.
