Cops must think everybody is Stupid

I was pulled over on Tuesday, by a cop!

Me:Whats the problem?

Cop:I pulled you over because I wanted to check if you have a Valid licence, & your exhaust is illegal. (can I have your licence and registration?)

Me: (as I hand over my info) Why do you think I dont have a licence & my exhaust is perfectly legal, it's not louder thain 83 decibles(Its never been tested, so Im bluffing, but Im pretty sure he didnt have a meter in his squad car) And the original cat's are still on the car.

(he goes to his car with my info, & returns after 5min)

Cop:your licence frame (dimond plate frame surounds my licence plate) has to be removed within 24 hours, and your exhaust IS illegal, it has nothing to do with the noise or polution, it's illegal to modify your exhaust.

Me:NO ITS NOT, The S.A.A.Q. (local DMV) says Im allowed to modify my car, and I DONT have to get inspected after every mod, ONLY if court ordered to. (and the only way I can get a ticket is if I make it make lots of noise and cause a disturbance.) If you want Ill go for a inspection (bluffing, as Im pretty sure he knows nothing of what hes talking about, and has no intention to try and get a cort ordered inspection of my vehicle) I didnt know that the frame was illegal, and Ill take off tonight.(or better is that I didnt know for sure IT IS LEGAL or I woud of told him then, but I didnt know at that time)

Cop:Make sure its off or you wont get a warning next time.

Me:OK (yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhrrrrrrrrright)

I pulled into a gas station and bought a 7-up, the cop was in there paying, I got out and left and 2 turns later the cop (who followed me out the gas station) pulled me over.

I live in Montreal Quebec Canada

I had a cop give me a speeding ticket in my honda....he told me my exhaust was too loud and he'd go easy on me if I took it off....as I'm arguing with him that alabama doesn't have noise pollution laws a motorcycle starts driving up the hill I'm stopped on. His bike was so loud we had to stop talking to each other for him to get a half mile down the road to where we could hear each other again......i then pointed to the bike and said "when he gets a ticket for having a loud exhaust I'll accept a ticket for a loud exhaust.". I got a speeding ticket only.

Just slap a "Nurses Save Lives" or "Firefighters Save Lives" sticker on the back of your car, and you're golden. You won't get pulled over again, probably. Unless you are driving like a complete jackass.

Have I tried this? No. But then, I have not been pulled over in my P5, ever. Plus, Detroit area cops have bigger fish to fry than giving a hard time to a guy in his late twenties with a clean record, and who pays his taxes!

I have only gotten pulled over for speeding. I've never been harassed about exhaust, window tint, fog lights, or any of the other BS that gives cops something to do when they are bored. I guess I've just been lucky *knocks on wood/her head*

Cops are SNEELY BASTARDS (its like when they ask "CAN I serch your vehicle, after you told him there is nothing in it, people get scared and say yes. (**** YOU, NO YOU CANT GET A WARENT!) Its funny to watch on Cops. (Im suprised the show Cops, shows cops abusing people and tazering peopl ewho dont deserve to be tasered, Im suprised no Lawsuits come out of that show)

Next time they call you on the phone, asking you to donate to some damned charity, just tell them to put all the details in the mail because you don't have time to talk. I got a sticker or two showing I supported some police officer's charity, when in fact, I was just trying to blow them off. Ka-ching!

Or, spend five minutes e-mailing around (their unions come to mind if you don't know a nurse or a firefighter), and ask for a decal.

Back in '81 I was driving my Rx-7 one night about 3 in the morning, going 5-10 over the limit on a secondary road when I get pulled over. First thing the cop asks me, "Is this your car?" I fought my urge to give a smart-a$$ reply, remained very civil (yes sir, no sir) and got off with a warning. If you think about all the times these guys get problems from people and the resulting attitude they have when pulling someone over, if you show some respect they will generally let you go (I know it's hard sometimes!). My dad flies a lot of places, and as far as I know he has never gotten a ticket.

I beleve your right for the times you get pulled over for actually doing something.

This cop was a severe *** because he must of not liked my look. He had already paid for his **** when I went to the cashier in the store, he left and waited in his car for me to finish, then he followed me 2 blocks, and 2 lights looking for a reason to pull me over, and the best he could come up with was "I wanted to see if you had a valid Drivers licence", & ofcourse to tell me that My "legal" exhaust is Illegal. ( I mean what was he expecting to happen?)

I never got a speeding ticket or got pulled over for my exhaust because Virginia got a lot more hondas than mp5 that have a ridiciulous sound like a bee is trapped in a coffe can.......I have a HKS hi power universal muffler and did 2 and 1/4 inch piping after the cat.....so it sounds really good......it kinda has a gargle sound....I likey.... and Cops think they can say anything they want when they dont know anything about modifying cars or cars in general....Cops are complete idiots...

you can purchase the vechicle code book from your local dmv. Everytime i got pulled over for illegal mods, i bust out the code book from the trunk and tell the office to show me the violation in the book. If they can't, they can't ticket you.

Now that's some forward thinking.
