Fog troubles!

I had the same thing happen about 3 weeks ago.

I go outside to see half my f'n fog lens missing, but I think
"its only the lens, how much can it possibly be to replace?"
$215 cdn for one, and you have to buy the whole assembly!!!!!

I ended up claiming it through my insurance under the glass coverage,
payed the $90 deductable and put the POS in myself.

In your case for $500 your being bent over for sure.

Check NOPI.com for direct replacement PIAA fog and driving lights. Search Mazda Protege 5. Those PIAA protective grills might just save the light in the future. They look good too.

I live in Florida, and smack a lot of big frogs at night. I'm just waiting for a light to break so I can get the PIAA driving beams.

those mesh covers on the piaa's look like crap. Does anybody know if they come without them or of any other brands that look better and are a direct replacement?

After you got the 520's installed, post pics and instructions. When I looked at the 520's, they didn't seem like they'd fit in the fog light holes we've got, but I could easily be wrong.

Those will defintely fit. the PIAA 40 that I have are larger in
diameter and just barely fit in. And I only paid 99 bucks online.

Hope that helps.

www.offroadwarehouse.com

But here is the direct link.. and make sure you choose
Clear driving lights and not clear fog lights. Fog lighst are more
expensive.

Thanks a lot! Done! How long did it take you to receive them once placing the order?

I was driving on the freeway to work the other morning and i saw a truck hauling gravel about a 1/2 mile up the road. i was just driving along when i heard this "ping!" and then another "PING! PING!" Then i saw a piece of rock fly onto my windshield. I realized that the gravel truck was spilling some of his load and the rocks were flying all over the freeway! Unfortanately, the truck was up too far and I had to slow down to minimize the impact from the rocks. When i got home later that evening, i checked my car to see if it was ok. no paint chips (well, just one tiny one) but both my fogs cracked! pissed me off! i called mazda and asked them how much it'd cost to replace. they said $400 - $500 bucks. Is that right??

Aren't those lens covers lexan(sp?) Or are they only covering the headlights? If they are, then they shouldn't crack or break at all.
