Cracked Headlight lenses

Cracked Headlight lenses
Been driving the heck out of my 2003 P5 (100 mile/day commute), and the damn roads or the heat down here in South FL. have caused both my headlight lenses to crack in several places. I'm not sure what caused it, but I discovered the lenses are made of plastic. I don't see any stone chips on the lenses, just big cracks vertically on the lenses. I've never had this happen on my other cars.
Has anyone else had this problem?
So, does anyone know how much new lenses cost?
Any suggestions where the best place to buy is?

Hi,
I haven't had this happen to mine. You could try www.onlinemazdaparts.com Either give them a call or look online if you have the part #.
Junkyards might have them. You can also try here:

I guess another important question I forgot to ask is whether the lenses can be purchased separately from the rest of the headlight housing. I just assumed they were separate, but now I'm wondering whether that is in fact correct, or if the lenses and the headlight housing are sold together as one part.

No, they are sold together. If you don't care about sticking to OEM ones you can probably pick up a set of headlights on ebay for a hundred bucks or so. I know I can get USDM Protege5 headlamps new for ~$190 (ea), I would assume the sedan headlights are that much or less.
