Yo. you think it is cold in Boston, try 50 miles west in Barre!!!.

I completely agree though, the air coming out of the vents is not physically warm once the car is totally warmed up. It is like the placement of the heater fan and the heater core are off.

Plus the fan over "2" is exceptionally loud, and try listening to the car running from outside it with the fan on 4, it sounds like there is a vacuum cleaner under the hood!

Hey jth when did you live there, I'm from Chapleau but played with the flyers for a year in 95-96. I find the heater works fine and agree that it is loud, but you got to move the heat. The screaming noise is just the belt screaching until it warms up a bit.

RA2OR, I lived in Kap from '81 to '83. Got transferred up there. Being originally from the Niagara area, it was quite an adjustment getting used to the very long, cold winters. Winters are much better down here, except for this past week when it was the coldest its been since I have lived here.

Car heaters in Kap were almost useless. The town was so small rareley was there any heat being produced by the time you got to your destination!

Heat

I live in Worcester, MA and it has been pretty cold here for the past month. I got my PR5 the Dec 31, 01 (had a 01' ES2.0 for the past 18 months). The heat in both cars were okay.....i usually let my car warm up for 5 mins every morning in the cold weather. My 01' sedan had the chatter clutch problem this winter. Took about 20 mins for that problem to be solved in the morning.

I thought it was a clutch problem till I got involved with this group/club. I never noticed it last winter because it was not this cold for a long period of time and the car was under 6 months old.

Anyway, the 03' PR5 does not have that clutch chatter problem yet. The transmission is tight in the cold mornings but gets good after a little driving.

The fans are loud above number 2, but my system is usually pretty loud. I like my music loud.....

The heat is okay in the car.....I have been in cars that have had better and worse heat so I am not going to complain. You have to remember, I think it is difficult to warm air that is sub-zero temperature.

I love my car and have no real complaints about it........
