Cylinder 2 misfire (CEL P0302) THE ANSWER!
I have the final answer to my mysterious "cylinder 2 misfire" as highlighted in the thread "which cylinder is #2?". Let me take you through the steps I first tried:
1. Replace #2 plug : still cylinder 2 misfire
2. Switch cylinder #1&4 and #2&3 coils: still cylinder 2 misfire
3. Moved plugs all around: still cylinder 2 misfire
4. Fuel injector cleaner/seafoam: still cylinder 2 misfire
Todays plan was clean the egr and inspect/swap injectors.
Well to my surprise injector number two had a ton of crud on it, the top where the fuel rail connects to. I cleaned it and all of the others (also swapped 1 and 2 injectors in case CEL came back on, if cylinder 1 misfires Im replacing the injector).
Took her out and she ran great, went through all the gears and everything was smooth as ever.
So for future search references, check your injectors if you have a misfire. They are very easy to get out.
