Dangerous w/out the roofrack?
Hi guys,
I was wondering, if it was dangerous to drive without the roofracks on the protege5 *without the caps/plugs to replace the holes* since i never got them from the dealer.
I would eventualy get it, but meanwhile..is it bad or anything to drive without them plugs?

thanks
How many of you like the roofrack on or off anyways?
To me, it seems as if the protege5 without the roofrack is like a normal car...it seems like its missing something without it. Anyone agree?
thanks

Yeah, but majority of the people i ask likes it without.
The very first time i looked at the p5, i was like omg thats a sweet car, only if you can take off the roofrack.
But if you dig real deep, without the roofrack, its just another ordinary car. Nothing to give its meaning.

You could put a bit of clear hockey tape over the holes to keep out moisture and debris. I use that stuff on my bike all the time when travelling it holds good and comes off good. If the sun bakes it on a bit, a little wd-40 will clean it right up.

I'll have to say, it is noisy with the roof open, but the car looks so much better with the roof rack left on. It definately gives the car a cool quality. Without the rack, it's kind of plain.
