Dash, Rear License Plate Bracket

Dash, Rear License Plate Bracket
I have 3500 miles on P5.
Have looked at past posts about license plate bracket rattle and deduced that some type of double-sided insulation rubber or two sided tape would take care of it. Wouldn't autobody shop have two-sided tape?
As for dash, have eliminated the ashtray or the spot where passenger's left foot might rest as possible culprits. Seems like someone mentioned a group of wires behind glove compartment that may be culprit. The rattle only occurs when accelerating from a stop (AT) and seems to emanate from instrument cluster or glove box. Does any one have solutions that worked for them?
Thanks for your help,
Ed
P.S. Otherwise I love the car. It's a great all-around vehicle and is everything advertised, but when stereo off the rattles are quite prominent.
