dgmotorsports lip installed. :) sorry no picts yet
bought the lip over a month ago, but was finally able to finish
up painting it and installing it today.
lip itself was 300 shipped (fiberglass version)
paint from paintscratch.com you'll need 2 cans of 12.5oz
flex-added base coat, one 12.5oz can of flex-added primer, one 12.5oz can of clearcoat with flex-added. and a small bottle of
rubbing compound.
misc material: 240 grit, 400 grit, 1500 grit sand paper
and cotton t-shirt. also a roll of 3M mounting tape for trims.
color matched perfectly and turned out real nice.
total about 390-400 including everything. body shops
around here were asking about 150-225 to paint it.
its up to you.

btw, fitment of the lip wasnt that great. i had to sand the hell out of it to make it fit decent. also it only comes with 2 screws which dgm calls it "mounting hardware" and the screws are
just self-tapping screws.
and delivery was probably one of the worst by far. it took
6-7 days until the part actually shipped out and took another 5 days until arrival. had to consider disputing to my creditcard company thinking they werent going to ship but charged my card.
so generally speaking, it was a lot of patience and work put into the lip. was it worth $390? probably not. its too expensive
for wat it is...a replica lip.
if they can sell it at 200 shipped, then its a deal.

wow, the bodyshops must have tried to screw you completely. my real autoexe lip was 50 to paint at one body shop. i just replaced it with a DG lip and that was only 60 at a different body shop. my brothers was also only 50 for his onderground lip, so the prices you got quoted were way high. glad to hear that your do it yourself paint job turned out ok tho. that takes skill.

haha yea, you can have all the pieces that are left if you really want it. ill take 10 dollars plus shipping. im sure with alot of really good glue you might be able to put it back together...
no im really no selling it, my mom clipped a curb in my car and completely destroyed the lip, thats the only reason i went with the dg one. i sold my car and just had to replace the lip before i gave it to the kid.
