Discolouration of Steering wheel
I'v just noticed that the steering wheel hub (centre where that mazda sign is) on my 2002 P5 has developed a slight discolouration, which can only be described as a dull spot while the rest of the wheel hub seems to be shiney. All i have ever used on it is armorall wipes, and even that not very often. Can someone tell me if this is a warrenty issue or is it my fault for using armourall wipes.
Thanks

It might be the Armor All. I know it can turn clear plastic cloudy, and if your steering wheel is like the sedan's, it has a sort of a clear "lens" over the logo. Try some cleaner made esp. for plastic & see if it comes off. If you can't find anything at a hardware store or auto parts store, go to a hobby shop and get some cleaner made for RC car bodies (which are lexan). If the dull spot is on the surface, that should polish it off.

Stay away from Armor All...go with meguires or mothers. Do you also apply monthly? Or do you only apply when it starts getting dull??
I currently use mothers and it suggest Monthly applications to keep the dash shiny and new....

Sorry my fault, i did not explain it well enough. The discolouration is on the black part of the steering wheel hub "plastic" its still black only its really dull and won't get beck to being kind of glossy. And even when armourall is not applied for a little while it still is not the same black colour as the rest of the wheel. its only like a 5cmx5cm area but it bothers me bacouse i am always looking at the wheel. And one more question regarding the wheel does anyone else have a kind of a "dent" at the bottom of the middle hub. It kind of looks as if it is the outline of the airbag. Just wondering again thanks for the help.
