I drove across Canada from Ontario out here to BC and was quite surprised at my milage. WAY better then i could have ever expected. Im not sure f anyone else has had this kind of result but on one tank of gas, crusing on the highway at 110-120 km/h i went around 800-850kms before needing to refuel.

my wifes beetle has the same size tank as a protege and she gets almost 600 miles per tank.

 

So far my record on 1 tank of gas has been 433 miles ( 2.0 5spd ) all I-95 to Virginia at 80 MPH . Work - home about 310 - 340 miles on 1 tank.
