I just got mine in the mail the other day and it's missing one of the hex bolts that hold the tip on! Its also got some small dents and bumps in it - I was not impressed with the poor packaging that was done on this thing. It was just *thrown* into a box and mailed out.

I ended up installing this thing tonight, and I have to say that it fit nicely. The only major complaint that I have is where it meets the cat is flat whereas the cat is not. This makes the gasket/fire ring that Bosal provides useless. I ended up using the fire ring that came off of the cat and plugging it in between the two to make a better seal. All aside, I'm not feeling hurt by the purchase.

One note to anyone else who attempts to install one of these - don't try to utilize the bolts from the cat with the new system. I ended up having to use a little acetylene to heat the old bolts up and then get them off. They are locking nuts so reusing them may not be worth the effort. Bosal provided enough to do the job, so make your life easy and take the cat off and smack the two bolts out of the cat with a hammer and just use the ones provided!

This might be a dumb suggestion and I dont know much about the Bosal systems...but for that kinda of $$ I would rather have it welded on than tighened down.
the reason they are bolted on is that the system for our cars are called the "camelion" or however you spell it and you can buy other tips and just switch them out...the bolts that hold it on are also stainless steel and are actually allen head cap screws are are recessed into little pockets around the flange....actually looks pretty good.....see?

Sir Nuke did you use their gasket up front or make something else work?

I used their gasket.....yes the sealing surface is very thin...but I just centered it very good and tightened it up very evenly and have had no problem.
