Question Factory Repair Manuals?

I went to the dealer in my area to try and order the Repair manuals for my 2002 MP5 and they said that they are not out and do not have a number for them. That the guys just pull what they need of the computer and print it out. Could this be the end of factory repair manuals? anybody know?

It would be nice if someone could get ahold of these files from a dealership and put them on the net

Check your owners manual. I am pretty sure there is a part number listed in it for the full service manuals, along with a replacement owners manual. I'm not 100% sure, but thought that's what I saw. It's right near the end of the manual.

Heh.. yes.. so if you lost your manual, please consult your owner's manual for the replace owner's manual number =P.

I know the 2001 sedan has part numbers for the repair & maintenance manuals.. I wonder how much they cost.

i was quoted $120 for the factory service manual for my car before i bought it. you might try http://www.mazdastuff.com/ to see if they can get you one for less.

I don't know if it is true or not but the dealer said they were not available yet. Guess I have to call Irvine CA.

Whoever gets the service manual first, scan it and put it on the web

The factory service manual for my '90 Protege cost $22 and is probably 1500 pages. That would be quite a scan and upload.

The FSM for my '02 Altima is $300 and four books or four CDs.

I went ahead an ordered the 2002 MP5 manuals from my dealer up here in Canada, so they do exist, however, they are on extreme backorder. People who ordered last August are just recieving shipments now. I'm not sure what the cost to them is, (I really don't care) but if I can find a part number, I'll let you know. They DO exist though, so if you head down to your dealer, they should be able to hook you up directly.

Like I said above, I'm not sure what the cost is, but I don't really care. When they arrive, I'll pay whatever it takes to take em home!
