So I bought the Kumho 711's... they're awesome... they rejuvenate my car.

I personally use the Kumho 712's. Low price, only a few dollars more per tire than the 711's. Low noise, nice dry and wet grip. Not sure about the tread yet. Had it on for about 6k miles, just a little wear on the front tires.

I don't know if it's the fact that its a different car, or that you guys haven't really experienced awesome tires, but i had kumho 712s on my 01 celica gt-s and they fricking sucked crap. My friend has them on his 02 VW GTI 1.8T and he hates the crap out of them too. The tires i have right now on my P5 are yokohama ES100s and the sidewalls arent quite as hard as the stock tires so it seems like they handle worse, but when you're actually in the corners, these tires grip like fricking sex.

I have experience with all types of tires, and speaking from my personal experience with Kumhos, they are great. I am glad you like them steveES.

195/50/R16 ... didn't want anything bigger.
