fix for curbed wheel?

Here's the half-a#%ed approach I took:
I used the closest nail polish color I could from my wife (an off-purple - close to the wheel color), and then sealed it with about a dozen layers of clear nail polish.
It's not the prettiest, but it keeps out the contaminants, to prevent the aluminum from oxidizing...
A local body shop could do a much better job, though.

You can seek out a place that can repair the wheel, just look in the yellow pages. The results are usually very good and you can't tell that there was ever any damage. I've had some wheels done before, and the price is usually very reasonable. They can also straighten out bent wheels with no adverse effects. Don't worry about the aluminum oxidizing so soon, it would take awhile.
